The 23rd International Machine Tool, Metalworking and Allied Industries Exhibition.
Machine Tool Indonesia remains the premier exhibition of metalworking technology serving this market. According to Indonesian Machine and Tool Industry Association (Asimpi), imports of machinery and components amounted to a total of US$8 billion and $5 billion, respectively, last year.
The Central Statistics Agency recorded $7.44 billion in machinery imports during the first half of this year, more than double the $3.58 billion recorded in the same period last year.

The 6th International Manufacturing Machinery, Equipment, Materials and Services Exhibitions.
New industry sub-shows have been added to expand the profile of the show. These include Marine + Shipbuilding Surabaya, Textile Machinery Surabaya and Packaging, Plastic, Mould & Die Machinery Surabaya. All these will be held in different areas of the exhibition hall.
This expansion is at the request of the Department of Industry in Surabaya who see these sectors as key drivers of East Indonesia strong manufacturing sector.
The recent construction of the Suramadu bridge which will link East Java's capital city Surabaya to Madura Island is to set to benefit the manufacturing industry in the whole of East Indonesia.

The 8th International Precision Engineering, Machine Tool and Metalworking Technology Exhibition & Conference.
Launched in 2005 at the express request of some of world's largest suppliers of metalworking technology, MTA Vietnam has become one of the most exciting machine tool shows in the Allworld portfolio. Vietnam has been developing steadily with an estimated increased GDP rate of 6.52% over the last 9 months of 2008. According to Vietnam's General Statistics Office, despite high inflation, Vietnam continues to attract record foreign direct investment commitments as investors believe the country's long-term growth prospects are sound.
The GDP of the country is apparent both in the north where Hanoi enjoys the success proved by the industry valuation
increase of 15.6% and in the South, Ho Chi Minh City continues to maintain its high and sustainable industrial production at an increase of 12.8% against 2007. MTA Vietnam 2008 series of events attracted over 13,500 trade attendees where an international pool of more than 600 exhibiting companies from 31 countries / regions were present.
